January 15, 2015

COLUMBIA, Mo.- Veterans United Home Loans was recognized as one of the Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces in North America. The national lender focuses on VA Home Loans and is one of 50 companies awarded the honor. The annual award recognizes top employers that display leadership and innovation in engaging their workplaces.

"This marks our fifth year recognizing incredible, employee-focused companies that are changing the way the world works, and we're excited to honor them with this award," said Cheryl Kerrigan, Vice President of Employee Success at Achievers. "These companies are setting the benchmark for standards in employee engagement by making engaging, aligning and recognizing employees a top priority, which sets them apart from their competition."

The Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces Award panel of judges evaluated each applicant based on the Eight Elements of Employee Engagement: Communication, Leadership, Culture, Rewards and Recognition, Professional and Personal Growth, Accountability and Performance, Vision and Values and Corporate Social Responsibility.

The judges included representation from organizations such as the Society of Human Resource Management, Human Capital Institute and Human Resource Executive.

"Support for the Eight Elements of Employee Engagement is a direct reflection of the efforts made by our entire Veterans United family," said Amanda Andrade, chief people officer at Veterans United. "When we look around our company we see employees who continually grow, develop and evolve to meet the changing needs of our business and customers. Thank you to Achievers for building a process that highlights commitments to an enhanced work environment and better outcomes through engagement."

Veterans United will be honored alongside other recipients for the Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces Award at the awards gala on March 11, 2015 at the Bellagio Las Vegas.
