Michael was awesome! Super responsive and helpful. Answered every one of my dumb questions with respect and honesty!
The Veterans United team was great! They worked with me and got me into the home I wanted and needed for my family. I'm so appreciative of Alice and her team. They had someone there for me every step of the way. Thank you VU!
The was the smoothest home buying experience! Alex, the realtor and concierge made was absolutely amazing!!! BEST EVER!
I look forward to working with veterans united in the future
I had two other lender agents say it could not be done. Kolin and team had me in my home in 45 days. They all work together and make it happen!
I loved my experience here at Veteran's United! The only thing that wasn't my favorite, but understandable, was negotiating fees, closing costs, etc.Outside of that, everything was great. My interactions with Alex were phenomenal. He is a great Loan Officer and made me feel comfortable.
2nd go around with the VU (Veterans United) and I couldn't be more pleased when the results!
John was quick and efficient with communication, keeping me advised as the process unfolded and reminded me of important tasks or deadlines to ensure I met the closing drop dead time without a hitch. If it weren't for you guys at Veterans United, I wouldn't be a homeowner as I'd tried over 15 different loan companies in an effort to get approved. I appreciate all the hard work and making it possible. God bless you all!
As a first time homebuyer, Veterans United made it very easy for me to understand the complexities of buying and each member of the team did their job flawlessly
During PCS and ETSing, Veterans United showed incredible care and support for me every time. I was blown away by how quick and easy they were able to work with and made the entire process smooth. I loved all of the resources they provided and every staff member was awesome to work with. This was an amazing milestone in my life with transitioning out of the Army, and I feel very blessed and thankful to have had the Veterans United Team supporting me.
Betsy Travis seemed a little incompetent. She asked for the same documents that we had already sent to Alice time and time again. Would request documents at 1:30 pm and then get off at work at 2:30 pm. This seemed like a process that could greatly be improved.
As a Veteran and first time homebuyer, I had no idea where to start. My google search led me to Veterans United, but still didn’t know if I was doing the right thing by utilizing their services. Start to finish, the process was streamlined from the pre approval online to the closing documents through the MyVU app, what seemed like a daunting process became easy as checking a few boxes. Alice Schneider and her team helped us through the ups and downs of the interest rate market, from going under and out of contracts and finally closing on a home that fit us perfectly. I would 100% recommend Veterans United to any of my fellow Vets looking to buy a home for their first time.
I felt comfortable with Dave and Katie and they were professional and very helpful.
This was the worst experience possible as it pertains to support for the applicant during an already stressful process. The communication with the lending officer was non-existent. The representative for the builder made it known from the second that we stepped into her office to look at homes, that there will be incentives that would not only cover ALL of the closing cost, but also enough to buy down the interest rate. This was communicated to the VU lending officer by the builder rep, and it was completely ignored. The builder rep asked again for at least the closing cost amount so they can cover it and the lending officer gave her an amount that was half of the closing cost. This caused us to have to spend $5000 of our own money and assume the interest rate as-is, when there was free money being offered by the builder. The builder rep asked again about buying down the interest rate and the loan officer answered by stating that he knew about a negative point on my wife's credit report. The builder rep has nothing to do with the loan process, except to offer incentives, and telling her anything about our finances was unprofessional and disrespectful. When our real estate agent reached out to them regarding these issues, she requested to speak to management, and was given bad information. She was put into contact with an individual who falsely claimed to be the CEO and who eventually just hung up on our real estate agent. We are appreciative and happy that we were able to closed because my wife is in love with this house, but VU made this process painfully stressful.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Francis, we appreciate your feedback on this matter. It is important for us to understand your point of view and promote mutual understanding. Thank you for providing direct feedback and giving us an opportunity to speak with you further to review the events leading up to your closing. Discussing the details around your final closing figures and preparing you for settlement is part of our commitment to excellent service. While we were thrilled that you earned money back at closing as well as applying the credits in question, the communication of such missed the mark. It is our goal to be there for you every step of the way to explain and demonstrate all changes. We appreciate your calling attention to this aspect and will always be available if you wish to discuss in greater detail.
Everyone that I worked with to get my home was as helpful as could be in accommodating my work hours and everything else I needed to apply for this loan, I am very grateful for everyone for helping me to become a homeowner so young
Thanks again for everything!
I was recommended by a friend, and after my experience, I’ll be recommending them to all of my friends. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience
All of the representatives were sooo incredible!! You all helped me every step of the way!!
